Sunday Morning Classes

Each Sunday morning, from 9:30 to 10:30, women are invited to choose from two classes, one that is designed for women only, whether they are in their teens and twenties or their twilight years. By integrating a diverse range of ages, women are encouraged to form relationships in keeping with the principle of Titus 2:3-5.

Living Free

Our women’s class is taught by Darcie Helm. It meets in the Library, which is located on the Lower Level. She is currently going through the names of God we see in the Bible.

Study of Mark

Another Sunday morning class open to women is a larger class of both men and women, usually taught by Jeff Kightlinger. This class is currently working through the book of Mark. Jeff presents well-studied lessons that help the men and women in his class unpack the biblical truths found in the different books that they study. This class meets in the Fellowship Hall, which is on the Lower Level of the building; it is often referred to as “Gardiner Hall.”

Foundations and Membership

Any woman who regularly attends GHBC is invited to ask about one of our short-term classes, as well: Foundations and Membership. One of the two rotating classes, Foundations is taught by Pastor Jonathan. This 12-week discipleship class offers an overview of basic Bible doctrine, or teaching. The Membership is a 2-week course taught by Pastor Mark and is designed for those who want to know what it means to be a member of GHBC.

Sunday Morning Worship and Wednesday Evenings

Besides these weekly women-specific classes, women are welcome to join in weekly Worship Service starting Sunday mornings at 10:45 as well as Wednesday evenings, when they will be able to participate in a discussion-oriented topical study. Following the study, women have the opportunity to share their burdens with other women and pray together in a small group.

Women’s Activities

The women of our church typically gather a few times a year for activities. In recent years, such activities have included a Ladies’ Paint Night and meeting at Coffee in the Park. To find out if we have any upcoming women’s activities, take a look at our calendar.
